Dominick Mastracco, DPM, FACFAS, is a board-certified podiatrist and foot and ankle surgeon at Mastracco Foot & Ankle in North Canton, Ohio.
Dr. Mastracco was raised in Jackson Township, Ohio. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from Walsh University. After graduating, he moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he completed his master’s degree in biomedical sciences at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He was active in medical research for aging bone cells and presented his findings at the national Experimental Biology conference in 2013.
Upon completing his graduate studies, he returned to Ohio and attended Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine for his medical degree. He received residency training in podiatric surgery at Mercy Health – Lorain Hospital.
His training consisted of a one-year internship at Cleveland Clinic, followed by two years of extensive surgical training at MetroHealth Hospital and Cleveland Clinic Akron General (Level 1 Trauma Centers) for foot and ankle trauma and reconstruction, diabetic limb salvage, and wound care. While in residency, Dr. Mastracco co-authored several journal articles published by Northern Ohio Foot and Ankle Journal. He was also named chief resident during his final year.
Dr. Mastracco is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American Podiatric Medical Association, and the Ohio Foot & Ankle Medical Association. He is affiliated with the wound care centers at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital and Aultman Hospital in Canton.
Residing in Canton with his wife Jennifer, he is proud to call it their home and be a part of the larger community. The Mastracco family has three children, Amelia, Dominick Jr., and Francis.
