Dr. Mastracco grew up in Jackson Township Ohio. A 2007 graduate of Canton
Central Catholic, he graduated from Walsh University with a bachelor’s degree in
Biology with Pre-Medicine concentration, Cum Laude. He moved to Philadelphia, PA
where he earned a master’s degree in Biomedical Science from the Philadelphia
College of Osteopathic Medicine. While in Philadelphia, Dr. Mastracco researched
and studied aging bone cells and presented his results at the 2013 National
Experimental Biology Conference in Boston, MA. He returned to Ohio to complete his medical degree at Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine.
Dr. Mastracco completed his Podiatric Surgical residency at Mercy Hospital–Lorain, associated with the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and Metro Health Hospital. His
residency training consisted of a one-year medical internship at Cleveland Clinic
main campus, followed by two years of extensive surgical training of foot and ankle
trauma, reconstruction of the forefoot and rearfoot, wound care and diabetic limb
salvage. A large portion of his surgical training was completed at Metro Health
Hospital and Akron General Cleveland Clinic, both of which are Level 1 trauma
centers in Northeast Ohio. While a Resident Physician, Dr. Mastracco authored/co-
authored numerous journal articles published in the Northern Ohio Foot and Ankle Online Journal, and presented cases at local and national sponsored conferences. He was named Chief Resident during his final year of residency.
Dr. Mastracco is Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery, a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, and a member of the Ohio Foot and Ankle Medical Association. Dr. Mastracco also serve on the Board of Trustees for the Stark County Medical Society. Current hospital affiliations include Aultman Hospital and CCF Mercy Hospital in Canton, Ohio. Along with seeing patients at the Frank Avenue location, Dr. Mastracco also works in the wound care centers at both Aultman Hospital and CCF Mercy Hospital.
Dr. Mastracco and his wife Jennifer (DeMarsh), both Canton Central Catholic alum, have three children, Amelia, Dominick Jr., and Francis. The Mastracco’s are excited to return to their hometown and begin this new chapter of their lives serving the greater Canton area.
